KNOWLEDGESOURCE Notifier

The KNOWLEDGESOURCE Notifier is an optional Windows application that can be installed on users’ workstations. This application is intended to provide users ongoing notifications and information about content on their Learning Dashboard and to provide a quick and easy way for the user to access it.

The application places an icon in the system tray/notification area of the user’s computer.

System Tray

The color of the icon indicates content and/or connection status:

  • A blue icon indicates content is available on the user’s Learning Dashboard.

  • A green icon indicates there is no content available on the user’s Learning Dashboard that needs attention.

  • A yellow icon indicates that the application is not signed into the KNOWLEDGESOURCE site.

When the icon is blue or yellow, a notification pop-up will appear once per hour from 8:00 am – 8:00 pm.

KS Notifier

Double-clicking the icon will log the user into the KNOWLEDGESOURCE website and display the Learning Dashboard.
